About Attorney Yañez

Attorney Yañez earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Spanish from UNC Greensboro and her Juris Doctor Degree from Elon University School of Law.

Since founding her practice in 2012, she and her team of legal assistants have assisted individuals from approximately 60 different countries in a broad range of immigration matters including family-based petitions, waivers, consular processing, removal defense, U visas, VAWA, naturalization and asylum cases.

Lucy Rivero de la Guarda

Paralegal

Originally from Miami, Florida, Lucy joined our firm in May 2016 and ensures that our day-to-day operations run smoothly. As a Peruvian-American, Lucy appreciates the richness in different cultures. She states that her favorite part of her job is getting approval notices in the mail and sharing the good news with our clients.

Stephanie Dimas

Paralegal

Stephanie is a North Carolina native who was immersed in the Latin American culture at a young age and grew up speaking both English and Spanish fluently. She has studied various other languages and is currently studying Hebrew. She has always held a strong passion for the immigrant and minority communities. Stephanie joined our team in February of 2019 but has worked with immigration attorneys for the past seven years, focusing on a variety of immigration matters. During her time outside of the office, she manages a small catering business. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two small children, dancing and serving the community.

Abigail Rodriguez

Office Administrator

Aby Rodriguez is a North Carolina native. She joined our firm in June 2019. She previously worked as a Member Service Representative at a credit union which allowed her to find her passion for helping people within the Hispanic community. She is a Mexican American who is fond of Taco Fridays at our office. She enjoys reading, watching movies and eating delicious food. Her favorite part of her job is the process of meeting our clients and seeing the positive outcomes in their cases. She is engaged and enjoys visiting the mountains and beaches of North Carolina with her fiance on the weekends.

Victoria Kouba

Paralegal

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Victoria immigrated to the United States with her family at age 3. She is fluent in Spanish. In 2019 she graduated from UNCG with a double major in Political Science and International Global Studies with a concentration in Human Rights and a minor in Spanish. She has traveled and lived in Spain. She is happy to be active in an immigration law firm fulfilling a lifelong dream to help her community of immigrants.
