About Attorney Yañez
Attorney Yañez earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Spanish from UNC Greensboro and her Juris Doctor Degree from Elon University School of Law.
Since founding her practice in 2012, she and her team of legal assistants have assisted individuals from approximately 40 different countries in a broad range of immigration matters including family-based petitions, waivers, consular processing, removal defense, U visas, VAWA, naturalization and asylum cases.

Attorney Yañez also serves an Adjunct Professor of immigration law at Elon University School of Law.
Meet Our Team
Veronica is a native of New York and has been in North Carolina for the last 12 years. She is fluent in Spanish and has several years of experience in the legal field. Veronica enjoys her job because it enables her to meet new people from many different places and be part of a life changing event for them. Veronica says, “There are no words to describe the feeling of happiness when our clients know that their dreams are now a reality.”
Veronica joined our firm in 2013 and has continued to excel as a paralegal. She is happily married and has four wonderful children. She and her husband went through the waiver process and he is now happy to be a permanent resident of the United States.
Erendira (Endy) Mendez
Originally from Mexico City, Endy was brought to the United States at age 12. She is a “Dreamer” and upon receiving DACA she was able to pursue her passion of helping the immigrant community. She previously worked at Faith Action International House assisting immigrants throughout Guilford County. She has also worked with Los Artistas, a program that introduces school children to many different types of art. Endy says that she is dedicated to keeping immigrants and their families together and working at our firm allows her to do that. She is proud to be a working mother and loves spending time with her husband and their two beautiful daughters.
Lucy Rivero de la Guarda
Originally from Miami, Florida, Lucy joined our firm in May 2016 and ensures that our day-to-day operations run smoothly. As a Peruvian-American, Lucy appreciates the richness in different cultures. She states that her favorite part of her job is getting approval notices in the mail and sharing the good news with our clients.
Yanicsa Arana Mata
Yanicsa graduated in 2017 from South University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. As the daughter of first-generation immigrants from Mexico, Yanicsa has a special appreciation for the challenges that immigrants face and works hard to help our clients achieve their goals of becoming permanent residents and citizens of the United States.
